At Leora Home Health, my ultimate goal is to value, serve, and empower our caregivers, so they can confidently provide compassionate, valuable care to our clients creating a meaningful and lasting relationship for everyone.

About me

As an RN with nearly a lifetime of being a caregiver, I am devoted to providing care to the people who need it the most: caregivers. My first-hand experience has demonstrated that caregivers often lack the support they need and tend to prioritize the patient’s needs above anything else, leaving them burnt out and cast aside. My goal is to do better; to provide the support and care that nurses and caregivers need for their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

My focus as a leader is ensuring that my team has the tools, support, and confidence to not only succeed but to excel. I believe in maintaining communication with our team, understanding the challenges faced in the field, advocating for their well-being and job satisfaction, and providing a positive work-life balance.

I began my caregiving journey when I was young by providing care for my grandmother. In 2017 I graduated from Chamberlain University in Columbus, Ohio with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). I realized that just “being a nurse” wasn’t enough for me so in 2024 I graduated from Western Governors University with my Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN). I wanted to begin making a difference in the way nurses learn and experience their careers. My nursing background spans adult and pediatric neurology, neurosurgery—including epilepsy care—COVID step-down units, pediatric home health, and travel nursing. I built a strong foundation in leadership throughout my positions as a preceptor, charge nurse, supervisor, and during my time in the military where I learned the skills of resilience, discipline, and the importance of self-care.

Outside of my professional role, I enjoy writing, reading, gaming, listening to music, exploring new places, trying as many foods as possible, and creating memorable experiences with my son and family. I also love hiking, camping, being out on the water, and like any good Austinite, I love taking my dog everywhere with me!

At Leora Home Health, my ultimate goal is to value, serve, and empower our caregivers, so they can confidently provide compassionate, valuable care to our clients creating a meaningful and lasting relationship for everyone.
